Hi friends!
It's been a while! With the chaos of the pandemic, wedding postponement, and everything else 2020 has thrown our way, it's nice to finally pop in and say hi. You might have noticed some changes around here like a new blog name! In case you're wondering, it's my first and middle name. So what's with the change you might ask?
As much as I loved milleniGAL because it represented me and my target audience, millennial women, I thought it was time for a little branding change. milleniGAL was my first public blog and it was a self-proclaimed light-hearted place where 90's girls came to learn about beauty, fashion and talk about our love for 90's nostalgia like Lisa Frank notebooks and the Backstreet Boys. After some time, I wanted more- I wanted to better connect with my audience, the millennial women I wanted to represent and empower. It only made sense to grow and step in front of the milleniGAL, 90's girl, one-dimensional persona and show more of the real me. After a few years of major growth and life changes (hello new career, marriage and helloooooo late 20's), a blog revamp felt like the right choice. After some planning and strategizing, I rebranded my blog and milleniGAL became more authentic to me, Scarlet Leilani. Shifting my blog name to my real name gave me a sense of authenticity and pride in my content. I've always loved my name, especially my middle name as it has a special place in my heart because of my dad, and using my name made me feel like my audience could connect and relate with me better if they saw the name and the face behind the blog.
So what is Scarlet Leilani, now?
A little bit 90's girl, a little bit travel, a little bit of beauty, a lot a bit dog mom life, a little bit sale and dupe alerts, a lotta bit self-love, a little bit foodie-ness, a lotta bit social justice advocacy, and a little bit wife life.
I'm looking forward to this new chapter in my blog life and growing as an individual and content creator. If you're new here, welcome!
